FIRST EDITION; 4to (27 cm), in early/period leather-backed marbled boards; vi, [7]-78; vii, [1], 126 pp.

Binding darkened, rubbed and worn, front joint cracked with the front board nearly detached, held by the cords; first title-page a little browned, damp-stain to upper margin of ca. 4 leaves, toning to the contents with occasional small spots; one fold-out leaf with neat marginalia in an early owner's hand. Front paste-down with the engraved armorial bookplate of Simon Stephenson F.L.S.
