DATED AT FLATBUSH, AUG. 23RD, 1862. : , 1862. Original manuscript. One
page, quarto (10" x 8"), written in sepia ink on pale blue paper. Text as
follows. "Flatbush, Aug 23d 1862. We hereby certify that Stephen W.
Stoothoff is a member of Comp E. (known as Kings Co Troop) 70th Regt 5th
Brigade 2nd Division N.Y.S.M. and as such is entitled to all the privileges
and advantages appertaining thereto. Date of Enrollment July 1st 1862
