Front cover with heavily gilded Arabic decoration covering the entire board. Back cover with a smaller gilt device. Volume I with back hinge rubbed and frayed- see photo. Volume 6 has a couple of small faded areas to the back cover. Small bit of shelf wear to the foot of some spines. About as close to new as a one hundred year old set can be. Contents unmarked and clean. Tissue protectors. About 400 pages in each of the 12 volumes. Complete set. Contains all the passages that were excerpted from the 1886 edition. 500.00
