the Opera House, Fort Collins, Sunday May 30, 1886 By Rev. E. N. Elton.

10.5" x 17"; Full margined with a hint of toning in the upper half, very 
good; Broadside; Sermon based on the Declaration of Independence & the 
Golden Rule. How in America these principals have reinforced Equal 
Rights; Reviews American History, Colonization; Rise of Slavery; The 
Civil War; Current challenges in the Nation come from the Mormons; 
Anti-Mormon; Excesses of Wealth; Influence on Government; Pro-Labor;  
Rev. Elton was a late 19th century Baptist minister in Colorado.

J. A. J. Practice Makes Perfect; How To Kiss; Manuscript instructions on 
stationery c1860-1875. Embossed bust of a woman top right on the 
stationery, that measures 7" x 4.25"; Three full pages of instructions 
with the caution "Don't Be In A Hurry" oft repeated. Detailed 
instructions by this 19th century "ladies' man"; "don't jump up like a 
trout after a fly"; her head lies carelessly on your shoulder, you are 
nearly heart to heart..." "her lips are almost open lean lightly 
forward..."  This appears to be unpublished and not just a piece copied 
from an "advice book" of the period. The letter was folded else very 
good; Quite unusual!                         $75.00
