engravings are mostly of European scenes, though there is a fine, large 
folding plate of the city of Babylon. Despite the uneven pagination, the 
book has been carefully collated and matches perfectly to the index. 
Provenance: Sir Henry St. John-Mildmay (1787-1848), Dogmersfield Library 
(bookplate). Some toning to the paper and an occasional small stain. 
Near Fine and quite scarce.

Important compilation of voyages and travels from the 16th to 18th 
centuries, many not previously published in England, compiled from Lord 
Oxford's library by Thomas Osborne and considered to be a supplement to 
Churchill's collection of voyages published in 1704. With the noteworthy 
complement of 37 maps, 30 of which are by Herman Moll and 12 of which
