The front covers have an old small blind stamp ex-libris from the library of one Samuel Cooper, and with his contemporary signature on both title pages. This is Samuel Cooper, D.D. (1725-1783), an influential Minister in Boston who graduated from Harvard in 1743.    $850.00 (trade discount allowed)
An attractive set in the original binding of a later English edition (these later 18th century 2 volume editions did not have plates) of Exquemelin's "De Americanse Zeerovers" (the Dutch original is 1678), with the added text of Basil Ringrose, Sieur de Montauban, and Reveneau de Lussan. Sabin 23489. The ESTC records only 2 copies in America of this 1774 printing .
