here bound by Stikeman & Co. for the publisher in 3/4 dark blue morocco 
with gilt rules and spines with two raised bands lettered and 
beautifully decorated in gilt with a lovely floral pattern. Copy #683 of 
1050 SIGNED by the author on the limitation statement in the first 
volume, which contains THE TIME MACHINE. The definitive set of Wells 
with all of his major works including THE TIME MACHINE, THE INVISIBLE 
MAN, FIRST MEN IN THE MOON, WAR OF THE WORLDS, THE WAR IN THE AIR, etc., 
here in the very scarce original deluxe leather binding. The covers of 
17 of the 28 volumes have been neatly and professionally re-attached. 
Very minor wear, mostly to some corners. Overall Near Fine and very
