A collection of signed original etchings by various artists, mostly late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century. Various sizes, ranging from ca. 8" x 5" (205 x 112 mm) to 20" x 14 1/2" (510 x 365 mm); condition varies: some with browning, occasional small stains or spots of soiling, wear and short tears to the edges, but generally good or better; 33 total.
Those etchings with identifiable signatures and/or attributions include:
Hermann Struck (1876-1944): View of a well near Jaffa (Sabil abu Nabut). 1903. Lettered in the image with Star of David and signed in pencil at lower left.
Sir Frank Short (1857-1945). Bridgnorth. Etching in brown ink.
Bela Kron (1884-1965): Firenze 1925: Corte del Palazzo Vecchio (matted).
Marcel Julien Baron (b. 1872): 7 views of Paris street scenes (all signed at lower-right, "Baron").
Robert Linnell Armitage (b. 1898): Temple Bar. (signed "R.L. Armitage")
A. J. Meyer: The Reindeer Inn, Banbury (4 copies).
Richard D. Winter (fl. ca. 1890-1916): Rydal Water.
E.S.[?] Watson: The Bend in the Road. 1929. 20/50.
Also, untitled etchings signed by Paul Schwertner and A. Demassy. Other subjects with signatures that are (to us) indecipherable include: Gloucester Cathedral; The Old Farm (E. Lauder[?]); Shelly's Cottage, Lynmouth; Roslyn Chapel; St. Bartholomew's Gate, London; Roma — Dal Pincio; a large somber image of a man in black with black birds overhead; plus others, 33 in total.
