FS: The Theosophical Library's copy of W.Y. Evans-Wentz's THE 
FAIRY-FAITH IN CELTIC COUNTRIES.

Oxford: Henry Frowde, Oxford University Press, 1911. First Edition, 
First Printing.

Octavo. Rebound in green cloth, title and author imprinted on spine. 
[xxviii, 524]. This copy belonged to the Library of The Theosophical 
Society in England, and has their large, attractive bookplate on the 
inner front cover, which bears an Ouroboros surrounding a 
Seven-Pointed Star. Within the Star is an Anhk, between the Snakes 
Mouth and Tail is a Left-facing Swastika within a Circle, and above 
this is an Aum sign, all surrounded by Rays of Light. "Withdrawn From 
Library" stamp over top part of the bookplate. Small pocket on front 
pastedown, several Theosophical library Stamps on title page, over 
printed with new addresses (100 Bond Street, 23 Bedford Square, and 
50, Gloucester Place). Text complete, but a bit shaken. No 
frontispiece. Covers and backstrip bumped and rubbed but holding 
firm. A good copy of a great book, with wonderful 
provenance.             $150.00
