New Howes: The Final Edition L548. The variation with 124pp., not 121pp. This reconnaissance was commanded by George Armstrong Custer (Custer High Spot 28) and Ludlow was Chief Engineer for the Department of Dakota. This report set off the Black Hills gold rush.
