First edition (numerous later reprints) of this novel of the conquest of Mexico, of Cortez, of Montezuma, and much turmoil. With some very interesting lithograph plates. Note: OCLC records, in error, an "1850" imprint date. This does not exist, as the author would have been 13 or 14 in 1850. The author was the grandfather of Octavio Paz.
