D. Appleton and Company, 1895. First Edition. Originally published in 
vellum, this copy has been rebound in early 20th century 3/4 red morocco 
leather with marbled boards and endpapers, a gilt-lettered and decorated 
spine with five raised bands, top edge gilt. BAL 7131: The First Limited 
Large-Paper Edition, this being copy #64 of 250 numbered copies SIGNED 
by the author at the end of the Preface written for this edition. 
Illustrated with 11 full-page plates with lettered tissue guards and 
numerous text drawings by A. B. Frost. Slight darkening of edges of text 
with a dampstain at the lower margin of the first 50 or so pages, not 
approaching the text. Binding with wear and rubbing to corners and spine
