Publisher's deluxe paneled black morocco with central gilt floral design on both covers. A.e.g. Minor rubbing at corners. Calligraphic manuscript presentation leaf preceding the half title, from the director of the bank, M. Riva Palacio, to "Guadalupe Bros." signed by Palacio. Monte de Piedad was a charitable bank founded in the 1770s for the purpose of loaning money to the poor of Mexico, oftentimes acting as a pawnbroker.
