The Pamphleteer: Respectfully Dedicated to Both Houses of Parliament. Vols. I-IV. London: Printed by A.J. Valpy, Tooke's Court, Chancery Lane; Sold by Gale and Fenner, Paternoster Row [et al], 1813-1814. Four volumes, 8vo (22 cm) in full period tree calf. Second edition of the first volume, first editions of the rest. Bindings with rubbing, wear to the edges and chipping to the spine ends, some joints cracked but holding; some foxing to the first and last leaves of each volume, a few occasional light spots elsewhere, a couple of leaves with closed tears to the edges, else quite clean and fresh.
A complete run of the first four volumes, comprising the first eight numbers, of The Pamphleteer, a sporadically published collection of pamphlets and tracts on the religious, economic, scientific, political, legal, social and cultural issues of the day. With eighty-six separate works in all, many of which are "originals" published here for the first time. Titles include:
