Mrs. Mason [and Joseph Blodget:] Ellegiac[sic] Poems, Sacred to Friendship. [No place, publisher, or year, but Greenwich, Mass.: Printed by John Howe, 1803]. Stitch-bound as issued, small 8vo (16.5 cm); [12] unnumbered pages.

Scarce early early example of Massachusetts printing and morbidity, still with its original stitched binding and with the leaves uncut and unopened (meaning that the pages are still joined at the top as issued). Leaves tanned, as is to be expected, with a few light creases, else clean and sound. A remarkable survivor. Included is a poem by the Rev. Joseph Blodget of Greenwich: "An Address to Christian Parents in affliction." The other melancholy titles are: "On the Death of Mr. Ranslure Clark who Died of the Putred fever Oct. 26, 1802. in the eighteenth year of his age," "On the Death of Daniel Clark who died Feb. 4th 1803. In the Ninth year of his age," and "On the Death of Mary Weld Clark who died of the Meazles May 19th, 1803. Aet. Sixteen Months."
