A large collection of mostly eighteenth- and nineteenth-century prints and engravings, approx. 175 in total, consisting primarily of VIEWS: landscapes, ruins, churches, cities, castles, country houses, landmarks, interiors, maritime scenes, etc.. Mostly engravings, some lithographs, some mounted and/or matted, some colored, a few original drawings and watercolors. Various sizes, ranging from ca. 4.5 x 6 inches to 34 x 18 inches; varying condition, some with toning and spotting, occasional soiling, but mostly good to very good. Includes ca. 22 folio engravings by Thomas Hearne and William Byrne (1770s-1780s) and examples from such artists and engravers as Nash, Prout, Pouncy, Turner, Letitia Byrne and others, as well as a blueprint of a "Latrine for General Hospital" and an original ink & watercolor plan for a "portable meat safe."
