American Sunday-School Union, [1838]. First American Edition. 255pp;
frontispiece, title-page vignette, 6 plates from wood engravings (some
signed GG for George Gilbert). Bound in all-over embossed brown leather,
gilt spine title--with embossed name of Gaskill, Binder, Phila(delphia),
gilt edges. Lacks front free-endpaper, scattered foxing, recto of rear
endpaper scribbled. 6.5" x 5.25" Good condition.

Includes "The Choctaw Boy" by Loring S. Williams, datelined Bethabara,
Choctaw Nation, September 14th, 1835. Provenance: Signature of Samuel Frost
on half-title. [American Imprints 54618.  Wolf, American Embossed Leather
