London: The Deputies of Christopher Barker. N.d. (1599). ff(82). Double and triple column text. 19th century full blind tooled calf, hinges repaired. Edges stained red. A very clean copy, but with the defects noted below.    $650.00 (trade discount allowed)
The Old Testament (with Apocrypha) and New Testament, each with a title page within an ornamental woodcut border. This is STC 2173 and Herbert #247. Of the many editions dated "1599" this one was actually printed in 1599. The second leaf of preliminaries, after the title page, which should begin with, "address" on the recto and "Howe to Take Profete" on the verso, is lacking, also f.68 & 69 are lacking, and f.247 is defective (portion of the leaf torn away). The New Testament is complete, and The Concordance (STC 13228 b.15) is complete.  Priced accordingly.
