W. D. [William Dorset] Fellowes: Paris, during the Interesting Month of July, 1815. A Series of Letters, Addressed to a Friend in London. London: Printed for Gale and Fenner, 1815. First edition; 8vo in later half calf, gilt-lettered spine label; iv, [1], 163, [1] pp.;, engraved title-page vignette of Napoleon, three hand-colored engraved plates.
Account of the author's visit to Paris in the aftermath of Napoleon's defeat. Fellowes hastened to Calais "as soon as the communication was opened,… anxious to witness the second entry of the allies into that city. after the great battle of Waterloo." Binding with just a touch of light wear to the extremities; text with modest toning and occasional light spotting, some offsetting from the plates, else very clean and fresh, firmly bound. A handsome copy.
