William Bawden: Dom Boc. A Translation of the Record called Domesday, so far as it relates to Yorkshire. Including also Amounderness, Lonsdale, and Furness, in Lancashire; and such parts of Westmoreland and Cumberland as are Contained in the Survey. Also the Counties of Derby, Nottingham, Rutland, and Lincoln, with an Introduction, Glossary, & Indexes. Doncaster: Printed by W. Sheardown..., 1809. First edition. Thick 4to (26 cm) in modern calf-backed marbled boards, new endpapers, top page edges gilt, other edges un trimmed; [4], iv, 628, 61, [3] pp.; with the terminal advertisement leaf.
Contents with mild toning, scattered light spotting, some bumping to the corners of the text block, three leaves with creases and a closed tear to the fore-edge margin, early owner's occasional penciled (erasable) marginalia, signature (“Dundas”) to the title-page, else clean and sound, firmly bound.
