This copy inscribed, "to Robbins Little Esq. with the compliments and best wishes of the author Henry Stevens of Vermont. A criticism of modern British bookmaking in a lecture presented to the Library Association at Cambridge in October 1882. Robbins Little was the head of the Astor Library in New York, which later, in 1895, became a part of the New York Public Library. He was a client of bookseller author Henry Stevens.
