Cont. plain dark brown calf, three blind rules along the outer edges of the covers. Spine extremities rubbed. Lower 2 inches of front hinge cracked. Some soiling and light text browning. First edition. Called a masterwork of Jewish apologetics written by the Jewish convert physician Fernando Cardoso. It describes ten virtues of the Jewish people and refutes ten anti-Jewish accusations. Also, it contains information on the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition. Palau 44099.
