Camoens, Luis de. THE LUSIAD, or Portugais Historicall Poem: Written in the Portugall Language... and Now Newly Put Into English by Richard Fanshaw. London: Humphrey Moseley. 1655. Folio. (20),223,(3)pp. In this copy the leaf of ads "New and Excellent Romances, Printed for Humphrey Mosely," is bound at back. Illustrated with a copper engraved portrait of Camoens, with engraved text, and two folding engraved portraits of Vasco da Gama (some discoloration at folding fore-edge) and Prince Henry of Portugal.  Bound in 19th century maroon polished calf, gilt arms on front cover. Spine worn & rubbed with light chipping to extremities. 20th century book label of Gerald P. Mander. Title and final 2 leaves with marginal repair.
