(2),xii,(8),267,(1)pp. Title engraved, and text profusely illustrated with copper engravings (1-1/2" x 2"). Finely bound in 19th century half brown morocco over marbled boards, ornately gilt spine. There is an issue with the title page dated Jan. 14, 1797. Ours does not contain the year but at the bottom of the final leaf of "contents" is found, "printed by C. Whittingham, Dean Street, Fetter Lane."  Whittingham was only at this address 1789-1803, so circa 1797 works. This edition contains a preface by Samuel Croxall.
