Bound in full calf by Mudie, with gilt-tooled spine and gilt-lettered morocco spine label, marbled endpapers, page edges marbled; 8vo (20 cm); xxiii, [1], 404 pp.; with a colored map and black&white plates. Faint sunning to the spine, light soiling and rubbing to the boards; some spotting to the endpapers, early owner’s penciled notes on the rear free-endpaper, else very good: clean and sound, firmly bound. An attractive copy. Front paste-down with the armorial bookplate of Edward O. Hollist, Royal Artillery.
