String bound within hard, blue, buckram-over-cardboard covers with grey binding of strong “ ield" fabric. Pastedown to inside cover reveals that this sheaf of lecture notes was issued to a Sgt. J. Nelson (#534419) at Scarborough College, an independent day and boarding school in North Yorkshire, England, which in 1940, after the outbreak of World War II, was commandeered for RAF training..."
