HOOVER, Herbert. THE MEMOIRS OF HERBERT HOOVER. Three Volume Set, Each 
Book SIGNED. New York: The MacMillan Company, 1951 - 1952. First 
Edition. First printings of the first and third volumes and second 
printing of the second. Each volume INSCRIBED and SIGNED to noted 
industrialist and art collector Anson Goodyear: "To my good friend/Anson 
Goodyear/from/Herbert Hoover." Covering Hoover's life from his birth in 
1877 through 1941, including his justification of his policies and 
attacks on Roosevelt. Goodyear, originally an industrialist from 
Buffalo, moved to New York City in 1928 and was quickly named president 
of the new Museum of Modern Art. His extensive personal art 
collection--including works by Van Gogh, Pissaro, Cezanne, Degas, and 
Matisse--ended up at the Buffalo Museum of Fine Arts. Near Fine set,
