The "Postillae" of Nicolas de Lyra (d. 1349) was the most consulted manual of Biblical criticism until the 16th century. It is a catalog of his critical interpretations and notes to help explain Biblical texts, of both Old and New Testaments. The REPERTORIUM IN POSTILLAM, of which there are four 15th century printings, 1484, two in 1492, and our Koberger printing in 1494, is not an edition of the POSTILLAE, but rather a subject index to the POSTILLAE, organized in dictionary (A to Z) form. It is a handy reference volume to the study of POSTILLAE. Hain 10399; BMC II, 438; Goff N150; ISTC in00150000 (recording 7 copies in the United States).
