densely-packed little pamphlet/pocket calendar with much good testimony
about how the Eclectic Remedy can help middle-aged sufferers get over
diseases of the “genito-urinary organs” without, of course, going into
too much detail. - Softcover. 2.75”x5.5”, 64 pages, line illustrations.

author at the by World’s Tower Building in 1925. Paul von Boeckmann was
a famous Texas strongman who later moved to New York and branched out
into pseudo-medical exercises, theories, and devices. - Softcover.

4) Early 20th C. National Remedy Company Patent Medicine “Looking for
Agents” Ephemera. - The National Remedy Company, “Manufacturing Chemists
(and) Proprietary Medicines”, of New York City, were looking for agents
to sell their cra-, er, patent medicines of great value and efficacy.
Hmm. Although I cannot find any record of the company having ever been
sued or indicted, their remedies as listed here included Wonderful
Japanese Oil, Dr. Swan’s Liver & Kidney Cure, National Specific for
Malaria, and Cascara Pills, so draw your own conclusions. - 3 pieces.
Letter 6”x9”; form 6”x7”; envelope 5.5”x3”. Folds, some light soil,

5) 1920s Patent Medicine Flyer- Dr. Beaupre Treatment for Rheumatism &
Neuritis. - A testimonial flyer promoting the "Dr. Beaupre Treatment"
for rheumatism and neuritis, with few details given except the price
(10-day treatment for $1.50, 30-day treatment for $4.00). The flyer is
mostly given over to the names and addresses of people who have
supposedly taken the treatment and are willing to testify to its
benefits. Although the treatment was "Dr. Beaupre"'s, the text of the
flyer is signed by Paul Case of Brockton, Massachusetts, who was fined
in 1945 for selling "misbranded iron tablets" about which he had made
exorbitant and false medical claims. - Single sheet, printed both sides.
