[Rarebooks] FS: Lame Horse Letter from New Hampshire Farmer.

Ezra from Aardvark offers this “not my fault” letter:

Letter from  Joseph Pressman? (not quite legible)  to John Gammon, Jr.?  (not quite legible) defending himself against accusations of having sold the latter
a lame horse. True copy, in ink, on single ruled notebook paper, 5” x 8”, with writer’s signature (different hand from that of letter text).  

“…I have never seen or heard of any lameness in the horse. I never saw him go lame or favor a foot a particle in my life…Fred W. Gould, Fred Baker, George E. Gould know the horse well and they will tell you the same thing if you will take pains to confer with them. If the horse is lame now it is something that has come upon him since. you took him, and in view of the above facts and circumstances I do not feel that I have anything to do or adjust withy you in relation to the trade…”                            	$95
