"Address delivered at the Consecration of the Woodlawn Cemetery in
Chelsea and Malden on Wednesday, July 2, 1851”
By George E. Ellis. Printed in Boston by John Wilson & Son in 1851.
Woodlawn was, along with the more famous Mount Auburn one of
Massachusetts earlier large garden cemeteries, comprising over 100
acres when founded. The cemetery, complete with Gothic victorian
buildings and decorations, still exists, though moving boundaries now
place it in Everett.
Softcover. 6"x9.5", 32 pages. Covers with light soil, corner chipped,
some cover wear. Contents with age-toning and spotting, minor soil,
corner stain, a few pencil lines. $35, plus $3 shipping.
