STATED FIRST EDITIONS. A gorgeous, elegant and exhaustively researched botanical classic, comprising fifteen massive hardcover books (NORTHEASTERN, SOUTHEASTERN, TEXAS, SOUTHWESTERN, NORTHWESTERN, CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND PLAINS, a-n-d, the highly-elusive Index Volume, more often than not, missing from the set) measuring 10" x 13" (25.4 cm. x 33.02 cm.). Color photographs, line drawings, and reproductions of paintings at each chapter head. Slipcases measure app. 13.5" tall (34.29 cm.) and the entire set stretches 23.5 " ((just under 60 cm.) Several of the slipcases show VERY mild scuffs, nicks and general shelf-wear. Northeastern States Slipcase ragged along one edge, but has done a creditable job of protecting the lovely books inside. Tight, clean set -- appears unused except for the Northeast set. Previous owner's address label in the front of Volume I, Parts 1 & 2. Weighty set. NEAR FINE IN VERY GOOD PLUS. HARDCOVER.
