STYRON, William. LIE DOWN IN DARKNESS. Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill
Company, Inc., (1951). First Edition. Author's first book. This copy has
a paper label on the book's spine marked "Editorial Library" and is in a
proof dustwrapper which has only the front and spine printed, the rest
being blank with occasional register marks. Additionally, laid in at the
rear, and at one time pasted to the rear endpaper and pastedown, is a
quite fresh copy of the dustwrapper as it finally appeared. Hinge
cracked at title page. Good only but likely unique. (#005649) $250
