FORD, Gerald R. TYPED LETTER SIGNED (TLS). Washington, 12 September 
1972. TYPED LETTER SIGNED "Jerry" on Office of the Minority Leader 
stationery thanking the recipient, Leon Nobes, for his letter. Ford 
mentions sending "the China Report" to him and says, "You may be certain 
that I am working night and day to bring about a Republican Congress." 
Nobes unsuccessfully ran to be the Republican candidate for the Michigan 
state House of Representatives 96th District in 1974, 1976, and 1978.
