SIMIC, Charles. DISMANTLING THE SILENCE. POEMS. New York: George
Braziller, (1971). First Edition. Printed wraps. Poet's first trade book
of poetry, published after two limited editions and a few translations.
Issued in softcover only. SIGNED by the poet on the half-title page.
There is also a 1971 signature "William Matthews" on the front endpaper,
but we don't believe it is by the poet of the same name. Small stain at
very bottom of corner of front cover; light wear. Very Good.
(#020874)        $100
