Early 19th Century French Tapestry & Textile Frame Makers Illustrated
Handbill.

A handsome illustrated something printed on laid paper for “Charles
Benard - Boulevard des Italiens - Batimens des Passages des l’Opera -
Escalier L. au Premier - Tient Magasin de Canevas & Colories, Laines
a’ Tapisseries (notamment celles de Perse). Fais des envois dans les
Departements en a l’Etranges”. The Book Elves are not completely sure
what it is- it probably dates from the 1840s-50s, and might be the top
portion of a sheet usually used for writing up invoices, which would
fit the period and the laid paper stock.

Single sheet. 7.5”x3.75”. Minor soil, light wear. Apparently once
mounted in a scrapbook, with paper remnants on the back. $125
