Small 8vo (17 cm) in full early/period vellum, hand-lettered spine titles; 502 pp.; engraved title-page and vignettes, woodcut tail-pieces.

Binding with modest wear and soiling; light dust-soiling to the edges of the text block, contents with a few scattered spots, otherwise very clean and sound, firmly bound, handsomely illustrated. Front paste-down with the armorial bookplate of one of the Barons Foley (with the motto "ut prosim").
