The Repository of Arts, Literature, Commerce, Manufactures, Fashions and Politics. Second Series; Vol. V and VI, January-December, 1818. London: R. Ackermann, [1818]. [BOUND WITH:] Vol. VII, no. XXXVII, [for] January, 1819. Two volumes, 8vo (24 cm), in early/period calf-backed marbled boards; 380, [12] pp.; 368, [4], [2], 62, [8] pp.; with an engraved title-page to each volume, publisher's adverts, and 52 plates and muslin patterns, most hand-colored. Tooley p. 35; Abbey, LIfe 212.

Lacking the pictorial cards, six fashion plates and one muslin pattern, but with all the Thomas Rowlandson plates called for, accompanying "Sentimental Travels to the South of France," and all the scenic views illustrating the "Picturesque Tour of Mount Simplon." The added January number of vol. VII includes a striking image depicting "The Isabella & Alexander, under Captain Ross, passing a remarkable Iceberg."

Bindings with wear and rubbing, creasing to the spine of vol. VI; four text leaves loose or coming loose and protruding from the text block; some offsetting from the plates, scattered small spots and touches of soiling, else generally quite clean.
