George Cruikshank; Laman Blanchard, ed.: George Cruikshank's Omnibus. Illustrated with One Hundred Engravings on Steel and Wood. London: Tilt and Bogue, 1842. First edition thus. Tall 8vo (22.5) in modern navy blue half morocco and royal purple cloth, marbled endpapers, top page edges dyed yellow; vi, [4], 300 pp.; with 22 engraved plates and 79 in-text woodcuts.

First edition in book form; the work was originally issued in nine monthly parts from May, 1841 to January, 1842. Light toning to the text leaves, occasional foxing and browning to the plates (most prominently on the frontispiece), else clean and sound, firmly and handsomely bound. Front paste-down with the armorial bookplate of A. Brandon Taylor.
