Alston XI.111; ESTC T113974.

The tenth edition, but significant for being the first to have maps of the West Indies and East Indies. Additionally, "several hundred new articles are added, other considerable improvements introduced, and various events brought down to October 1796." The other maps consist of: North America, South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the "Word from the Best Authorities." The introduction includes discussions of geography, the solar system, planets, secondary planets, comets, and fixed stars, as well as a "Description of the Artificial Sphere."

Original boards show wear to the corners; contents with toning and occasional mild browning, some offsetting to and from the folding maps, else clean and sound, firmly bound.
