REGIMENT.
(Faridabad): Thomson Press (India) Limited, 1976. First printing, Full
cloth, Octavo, xvi, 443 pages, Color frontis, b&w photos, folding maps. Good
in a Good Dust Jacket, Jacket in Mylar protector.
      Comprehensive history of this regiment, from its birth in the 18th
century, through both World Wars, independence from Great Britain, and up to
its role in the liberation of Bangladesh. Appendices include family tree of
Senior Battalions, commanding officers, Subedar Majors, gallantry awards,
garrison units--World War II, 111 Infantry Battalion (TA), etc.
Bibliography. Bound in dark green cloth over boards with gilt stamped spine
lettering. Small circular New Delhi bookseller stamp at lower inner margin
of front free endpaper, row of numbers stamped along bottom edge of rear
free endpaper. A few bumps to board edges. Jacket has a touch of fading to
spine, rubs along joint folds, shallow edge chips, and a 1.25" tear along
top edge of lower joint fold, and then across spine, resulting in a square
flap of the jacket lifted up at head of spine. This is laid back down and
held fast by Mylar jacket cover. All in all a nice copy.    $90.00
