on title; title within an ornate typographical border. Text illus. with
numerous woodcuts & diagrams. Bound in later vellum, leather label on spine. Some
marginal dampstains, but overall a very good copy of a very scarce book.

The second enlarged edition of the first French language geometry text. It is
particularly important for the added material in chapters VII & VIII which
deal with proportion, the geometrical forms of the letters and geometry applied
to astronomy and astrology. Mortimer, Harvard French #115 (the first ed. of
1542). Not in Adams.
