1.  Johnson, Jane Eliza. Newtown's History and Historian Ezra Levan Johnson
With additional material. Newtown: 1917. First edition. History of Newtown,
Connecticut based on the research of a long-time leading citizen, by his
widow.  Many photos.  Extensive, often-cited genealogical section.  Geen
cloth (later), gold print on brown field on spine.  Small stain on cover.
Hardbound. Very good.  (8422) $150.00

2.  General Statutes of Connecticut Revision of 1866. New Haven: John H.
Benham, 1866. To which are appended the Declaration of Independence, US
Constitution and Connecticut Constitution.  Leather rubbed and stained on
cover, labels cracking on spine.  Some foxing.  Overall tight and clean.
Hardbound. Good.  (8444) $50.00

3.  Encyclopaedia of Connecticut Biography. Chicago: Century, 1892. 4to.
Leather.  Both boards detached (thus fair).  Leather scratched, torn on
spine, worn generally.  Light stain to top margins, else interior clean, and
tight.  Biographies of some 88 leading Connecticut citizens of the day (most
familiar name - P. T. Barnum).  Illustrated with portraits engraved on
steel.  Signed and inscribed to a friend by Augustus Brandegee, a lawyer and
politican, Speaker of the Connecticut House, active in anti-slavery, whose
bio is included.   Hardbound. Fair.  (9073) $375.00

4.  Charter and Ordinances of the City of New Haven 1883. New Haven: Hogson
and Robinson, 1883. Brown cloth worn, faded.  Foxing.  Tight and clean.

5.  Tarbox, Increase N. A Sketch of Selah Burr Treat. Boston: Alfred Mudge &
Son, 1877. Brown cloth, some wear to edges.  Owner's bookplate and name.
Some foxing, else clean.  Tight.  Frontis portrait.  Bio of leading
Connecticut minister.  Reprinted from Congregation Quarterly July 1877.

6.  Starr, R. Ratchford. Farm Echoes. New York: Orange Judd , 1881. First
edition. Blue cloth, gilt title and decoration still bright.  Rear cover
heavily stained and dirty.  Edges worn.  Page edges stained, not affecting
text.  Else tight and clean interior.  Recollections and practical farming
advice of a Connecticut man who gave up business and bought a farm.
Illustrations. Hardbound. Fair.  (11383) $70.00

7.  Barber, John Warner. Connecticut Historical Collections : Containing a
General Collection of Interesting Facts, Traditions, Biographical Sketches,
Anecdotes, etc. Relating to the History and Antiquity of Every Town in
Connecticut with Geographical Descriptions. New Haven: John W. Barber, 1836.
ISBN: 0939883058. Full leather.  Heavily worn and about a third missing from
spine.  Front board, FEP and frontis detached, rear nearly so.  Foxing.
Colored foldout map torn, soiled but intact. Howes B-120 (later edition
listed), Sabin 3317 (same year, different publisher and page count).  560
pp.  Illustrated by 180 engravings of Connecticut scenes.   One of a series
of  state-specific "Historical Collections" by author.   Hardbound. Poor.
