MCCARTHY, CORMAC. THE ORCHARD KEEPER. New York: Random House (1965).
First Edition. McCarthy's scarce first book, INSCRIBED and SIGNED by
him on the front endpaper "To Rinda Sliger/Cormac McCarthy." The
recipient was apparently a typist or secretary for McCarthy at the
time, but we have been unable to verify this information. The
dustwrapper is complete and has minor and even darkening, hardly
noticeable, with the red lettering on the spine faded but still clear.
The joint of the front panel and front flap, often found separated
completely due to a manufacturing defect, here is neatly split about
two inches at the top but otherwise intact and not noticeable under
the mylar. Near Fine in a Near Fine dustwrapper. $7500
