      The handsome leather-bound Easton Press "Collector's Edition" of
Malone's definitive biography of Thomas Jefferson. The volumes are
individually titled thusly: "Jefferson the Virginian" (I); "Jefferson and
the Rights of Man" (II); "Jefferson and the Ordeal of Liberty" (III);
"Jefferson the President: First Term, 1801-1805" (IV); "Jefferson the
President: Second Term, 1805-1809" (V); and "The Sage of Monticello" (VI).
Each volume is individually indexed and contains its own select, critical
bibliography. Illustrated throughout with portraits, prints, and occasional
modern photographs. Bound in red leather over boards with gilt-stamped
ornamental borders on both boards, gilt-stamped spines with black title
blocks and raised bands, silk-lined endpapers, and silk ribbon bookmarks.
