V. and H. W. Poor, New York City. 1877. 1st edition. Thick 8vo, pp. xl,

Henry Varnum Poor (1812-1905) was a pioneering business analyst, editor,
and financial writer who, in 1860, founded the Poor Company which began
supplying financial information at a time when Europe sought to know
more about its holdings in the newly developing American business and
investment community. In 1941, Poor's merged with Standard Statistics to
form the famous financial rating company, Standard & Poor's.

It does not appear as thought this copy has been much read, as only the
first 150, or so, of the 623 pages have been cut. Also published in
England by Kegan Paul. Re-published in a cheap edition by Greenwood
Press in 1969, and more recently in 2001.

Price: $225.00.

Terms of Sale - The price is net in US funds. Payment by check, or
