Oops. I don't have a good sense of the history of baseball, and my googling was obviously unsuccessful - I DID find someone claiming that Mantle was #25. A little more searching and it appears to be Joe Pepitone -- a lot less interesting, but still a really cool book.  The series was in 1964, which is what I was basing my search on...

Maybe he played some first base near the end of his career. And Lou Brock
played for St. Louis after breaking in with the Cubs. Since they played in
different leagues, the Yankees could have been tagging Lou Brock only in an
All-Star game or a World Series. There was only one such series, I
think, -- '66 maybe -- during Brock's career.

I'm not sure who #25 might be. It'd depend on the timing of the pic. Today
it would be Jason Giambi.
