New York: Harper & Brothers Publishers, (1921). First printing, Full cloth,
Duodecimo, viii, 311 pages, black & white plates. Near Fine in a Very Good
Dust Jacket, Jacket in Mylar protector.
      Classic Zane Grey tale based on the Graham-Tewksbury feud between
cattlemen and sheepherders--the so-called "Pleasant Valley War"--in
Arizona's Tonto Basin in 1886. First printing (correct Harper code on
copyright page) of the first edition in nice dust jacket. Illustrated by
Frank Spradling. Bound in orange cloth over boards with black spine
lettering and black silhouetted illustration on upper board. Mild browning
to textblock edges. Jacket has some light soil overall, a few edge rubs, and
a closed 1/2" tear at top edge of front panel.    $250.00
