Bleiler notes in Science Fiction: The Early Years (pp. 490-491) that the 
name "Huan Me" is "...probably a pseudonym for a British author, perhaps 
to be read 'you and me'. A fairly frequent contributor of sensational 
fiction to the British variety magazines around the turn of the 
century". The pseudonym "Huan Me" is not listed in any of the standard 
reference works on pseudonyms, viz. Atkinson, "Dictionary of Literary 
Pseudonyms"; Sharp, "Pseudonyms and Personal Nicknames"; Halkett and 
Laing, "A Dictionary of Anonymous and Pseudonymous Literature of Great 
Britain". This title not in Bleiler, although referenced in Hubin (p. 
283). It is a scarce title; OCLC lists only one copy in an American 
library (N.Y.Univ.). Five other novels have been attributed to this 
author. Three of five titles currently offered for sale on the internet 
are, in fact, photocopies of short stories by this author. Only two 
books presently appear for sale ("A Diplomatic Woman" and "The Jewel of 
Death"). Our copy of "Weaving the Web" shows rubbing to extremities and 
some soiling to rear board. The endpapers are clean, although the front 
hinge is a bit weak. Both of the inserted plates are present, although 
the binding is cracking at the placement of the second plate. The 
contents are clean, with no previous owner's markings. Overall, in good 
plus condition. No dust jacket.
