and a note on "A Celebrated Village Idiot" by James O'Donnell Bennett. The
Adventures of Thomas Jefferson Snodgrass. Chicago: Pascal Covici Publisher
Inc., 1928. Limited Edition. One of three hundred and seventy-fine numbered
copies. Octavo. xxiv + 59pp. printed on a fine laid paper with deckled
fore-edges. Original quarter mustard cloth over brown paper boards, with
mounted title labels on spine and front board; with the original tan printed
dust jacket. Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket that has a minor crease and
closed tear to top edge of rear panel. Overall a nice copy. // These letters
were written by Twain in 1856-57 under the Snodgrass pen name. BAL 3544.
